Reverse osmosis consists in applying a pressure, thanks to a gas system, superior to osmotic pressure. When this pressure is applied, the flux reverses. Water treated by reverse osmosis does not have the quantity of salts and the right Ph to make it suitable for human consumption so it must be subjected to a remineralization processes with calcium and magnesium; While for the removal of chlorine and boron, a solutions of NaOH / HLC and caustic soda are injected into the water flow. Once all these steps have been performed, the water treated by reverse osmosis is suitable for human consumption.
